Job Description
Positions Summary:
The Infusion Center Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the planning directing supervising and evaluating of nursing activities and patient care outcomes in the Intravenous Outpatient Department (IVOP). This position coordinates operational activities of the infusion center. Reports directly to the Clinic Manager/Director. Uses the Nursing Process to determine care needs of patients plan to address those needs and evaluate patient care outcomes. Collaborates with other FMH departments and medical staff to provide a multidisciplinary continuum of care for patients and their families.
Minimum Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required:
A. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland.
B. Bachelors degree in nursing required.
C. Must have 5 years of experience practicing as a registered nurse in a hospital infusion clinic or home health setting.
D. Previous management experience preferred.
E. Previous experience in an outpatient infusion center and certification from the Infusion Nurses Society and/or the Oncology Nursing Society required.
F. Current CPR certification.
G. Excellent customer service skills required.
H. Able to assess and care for patients with special needs with respect to cultural ethical and religious differences and physical abilities.
I. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
J. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
K. Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality related to employee and patient information.
L. Knowledgeable regarding the effective use of body mechanics when handling patients supplies and equipment.

Pay is based on experience skills and education. If position is parttime salary will be prorated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. NonExempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid if applicable.
