Job Description

Shared Treasurer Search Rootstown and Waterloo Local Schools
Rootstown and Waterloo Local School Districts are seeking a highly qualified and detailoriented Treasurer to manage and oversee the financial operations of their districts. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the fiscal integrity and compliance of the school systems. Shared Responsibilities:
Rootstown Local and Waterloo Local School Districts have established a shared services model for a Treasurer position to enhance efficiency while maintaining strong financial oversight. Both districts are committed to providing quality education while being fiscally responsible. By partnering for this role the districts aim to streamline operations optimize resources and ensure continued financial stability in support of their students and communities.
Qualifications:
Experience as a Treasurer preferred; accounting finance or auditor experience considered
Focus on prioritizing district finances in alignment with the strategic plan/mission and a commitment characterized by what is best for students
Demonstrates progressive 21st century learning with the proven ability to acquire supportive resources
Approachable communicator with both internal and external stakeholders who demonstrates active listening good presentation and writing skills to reach a variety of audiences in a responsive and timely manner
Displays strength in the use of technology software and system design to benefit the infrastructure of the district
Understanding of publicschool funding as well as the influence of local/community financial and business priorities and direction
Experience working in a diverse district organization or community
Creative problem solver who collaborates with others in the district to effectively work through challenges and opportunities

Compensation: Compensation to reflect the additional responsibilities entailed in serving two districts. Estimated pay range based on experience and qualifications is $110000 to $140000.
Tentative search timetable:
Application deadline: April:00 p.m.
First round interviews: MidApril (early applicants may be interviewed prior to application deadline)
Board of Education Interviews: End of April/Early May
Board Officially Employs: MidLate May
Contract Starts: August 1 2025
