Founded in 1968 as a part of the Virginia Community College System Tidewater Community College TCC services South Hampton Roads with 4 campuses in Chesapeake Norfolk Portsmouth and Virginia Beach 7 regional centers and 2 important cultural institutions. The college had 3203 graduates inpercent of whom pursued degrees that would let them transfer to 4year institutions. Of South Hampton Roads residents enrolled in higher education 36 enrolled at TCC . TCCs institutional accreditation is affirmed through 2027 by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Tidewater Community College seeks applications for parttime Custodian positions to fill 2 positions at the Norfolk Campus for the evening shift 6:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with rotating Saturdays. This position will provide a full range of custodial/housekeeping services for college facilities to include but not limited to trash removal vacuuming mopping dusting sweeping floor stripping and waxing carpet cleaning window cleaning black/whiteboard cleaning etc. Provide room setup/takedown assistance and light bulb replacement as assigned. Perform other cleaning tasks as assigned. Maintain and demonstrate good attendance habits. This position designated as an essential position must be able to report to work and fulfill responsibilities of the position in the event of college/campus closure due to weather or emergent conditions. Must be able to report to work during inclement weather and assist in snow removal from entries and walkways and application of snowmelt when required. Provides cleaning services to the colleges buildings to include but not limited to daily removal of trash mopping dusting and sweeping vacuuming. Must assist in the set up and take down of special events if assigned. Complies with laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash and waste. Must be able to climb a six foot ladder and lift up to 50 lbs unaided.

Work Schedule
6:00 p.m. 12:30 a.m. Monday Friday and rotating Saturdays required Part Time 29hrs
