Job Description
Its fun to work in a company where people truly believe in what they are doing! WGHPFOX8 has a rare opening for a weekend sports anchor/weekday sports MMJ. The candidate needs to love High School sports ACC sports and NASCAR. The FOX8 Sports team is highly motivated and productive during the year. We produce several sports specials and weekly sports shows for our CTV streaming app .If youre willing to be a reporter producer editor and anchor sometimes all on the same day we want you to join our team!
Duties and Responsibilities
- Write edit and anchor weekends sports
- Fillin anchor during the week when necessary
- Research and pitch sports packages you will write edit
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Responds to breaking sports events and other urgent newsrooms situations as required
- Must be willing to work more than 40 hours a week
Requirements & Skills:
- 2 years television sports reporting or anchoring experience
- A good attitude and good teammate with other members of the FOX8 sports department
- Bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism
- Comprehensive knowledge of sports and sports related activities
- Ability to meet deadlines prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Valid drivers license with a good driving record
- Flexibility to work any shift
Employees duties and responsibilities are not limited by the above. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by employees supervisor.
