We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to oversee our Fabrication and Finishing operations during the 2nd Shift. You will be responsible for the operational plan performance and continuous improvement of a complete value stream within our manufacturing facility. Your leadership will be key in driving high performance in safety quality delivery and cost.

How Youll Create Possibilities

Manufacturing Operations:

  • Oversee the entire value stream within the plant ensuring alignment with overall plant goals.
  • Develop and implement the annual operational plan for the value stream.
  • Lead a crossfunctional team including salaried and hourly team members to achieve key performance metrics.
  • Utilize production line boards to monitor performance identify issues and ensure effective communication across shifts.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of operations and follow escalation processes to address abnormalities.
  • Ensure adherence to Lean manufacturing practices and standardized work processes.
  • Manage department metrics and budgets preparing daily reports for production meetings.
  • Conduct daily startup meetings and ensure effective communication through team meetings.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Champion the Appliance Production System philosophy and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead problemsolving efforts and root cause analysis for inefficiencies within the value stream.
  • Engage crossfunctional teams to address and resolve operational issues.
  • Identify and reduce waste through shortterm and longterm improvement initiatives.
  • Lead kaizen events and ensure implementation of countermeasures.

Leadership:

  • Provide active leadership to a crossfunctional manufacturing team.
  • Set goals and provide career coaching performance feedback and training for team members.
  • Participate in performance reviews and manage disciplinary actions in partnership with HR.
  • Recruit and develop future leaders for the business.

Quality:

  • Ensure defectfree products are produced according to specifications.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with the Manufacturing Control Plan and quality standards.

What Youll Bring to Our Team

  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing management particularly in shift operations.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problemsolving and communication skills.
