JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
We are searching for an entry level Undergraduate student to join the Quantum Research Department of the AllDomain Analytics and Signatures Office (A2SO) at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University.
This work will be related to the Project 8 Neutrino mass experiment (see link below). Student must have a background in Electrical Engineering particularly electromagnetics. Student will be responsible for running electromagnetic simulations in CST software as well as helping design prototypes to build and also testing these prototypes. All information obtained via these efforts will be used to help guide the final design of the Project 8 experiment.
Experience in simulation software packages particularly electromagnetic simulation.
Knowledge of MATLAB
Ability to take and simulate data in an organized fashion and create slides summarizing their results.
Your working location will be predominantly onsite at our lab in Innovation Park State College PA. Periodic travel may also be required for attendance at program meetings and/or in support of field testing or exercises.
