Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Boys Basketball/Spring Sport
Department: Athletic/Classroom Teacher
Reports To: Building Principal Athletic Director Head Coach
Teaching Field: Social Studies
Length of Contract: 215 days
FLSA: Exempt
Job Summary:
This position includes serving as an Assistant Boys Basketball Coach with the possibility of leading the Jr. High program and coaching a spring sport. The coach will focus on player development program growth and fostering a competitive and positive team culture.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Organize lead/assist in leading practices game preparation and team management.
- Assist with management of team logistics including scheduling and equipment.
- Promote strength and conditioning programs for both sports.
- Encourage multisport participation and collaborate with other coaches.
- Assist in spring sport responsibilities
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in education or related field (preferred).
Valid Arkansas teaching license.
High school or collegiate coaching experience (preferred).
Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
Commitment to strength and conditioning as a key component of player development.
Ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.
