Job Description
Summary
Shift: 2nd shift 12:00 p.m.9:30 p.m.
Pay: $20.92/hour (includes $1/hour shift differential)
Location: Pocatello
Machine operator is responsible for ensuring the machine works properly utilizing the correct materials for the product and keeping the equipment running. The Operator must demonstrate a detailed understanding of the quality requirements for the products being produced and able to make adjustments as necessary to achieve maximum quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up equipment at the beginning and during the shift
- Bring supplies to the area and ensure correct supplies are used.
- Able to effectively trouble equipment.
- Know terminology and components of all areas of equipment. Operate control panel.
- Document operations by completing all required forms.
- When machine issues arise call the mechanic and explain the problem.
- Make sure the product is sealed and has the correct code (if applicable).
- Change packaging materials to avoid downtime and identify substandard materials and supplies.
- Operate machine in a safe manner.
- Communicate to supervisor/ team leader any machine or process problems in a timely manner.
- Consistent cleanup and stock of area perform general housekeeping tasks as it relates to respective area in order to provide a clean and safe work environment.
- Work well in a teamoriented atmosphere.
- Comply with the policies outlined in the Amys handbook.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications and skills include the following:
- Experience in manufacturing warehouse or distribution within the food industry is a plus.
- Ability to perform laborintensive tasks including frequently lifting 550 pounds independently and team lifting 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to pass math and reading assessments.
- Mechanical equipment and process knowledge is preferred.
