Introduction to role
We are looking for a new member to join our team and play a key role in driving process optimization developing strategic management and measurement processes for key performance indicators in R&D IT providing accurate management reporting and helping us deliver technology adoption and influence ways of working.
In this role you will lead the standardization of processes to align with priorities and IT objectives that fasttrack technology adoption and our ways of working. You will develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholder groups in R&D IT and R&D to establish trust foster community and drive adoption to changes while measuring success. You will also be responsible for analyzing R&D IT Pulse and developing action plans across R&D IT functional areas with Operation managers. You will lead resources focused on developing brandcompliant internal comms engaging educational messages and campaigns using various digital channels and inperson events across AZ. The goal is to increase operational efficiency benefit realization and achieve results by increasing change adoption through effective pacing of activities and support.
We expect you to be a critical thinker with experience in operations management leadership and delivering impactful digital communications/learning & development content for diverse global audiences. You have excellent written presentation and verbal skills with fluent English. You are a selfstarter and a leader eager to learn more and build your experience in this area. You are also comfortable building strong relationships with colleagues across the business and challenging behaviors.
Accountabilities
In this role you will be responsible for maintaining a strategic continuous improvement approach to the value the team brings to R&D IT. The following represents the major areas of work this role is responsible for:
Operational Excellence:
Support the strategic and operational plans to ensure strategic priorities (Embed Change Leadership Capability Transform GPPM & COO Drive R&D IT Effectiveness and Cultivate Learning & Growth).
Assess prioritize and drive process optimization and LEAN methodologies within R&D IT. Develop and implement strategies and plans for process standardization and optimization to support R&D and IT priorities achieving operational excellence.
Lead with R&D IT Operations Managers in facilitating process standardization and optimization across functional areas. Partner with various IT teams to collaborate and operate as #OneIT and participate in various initiatives improving overall operations and fostering a collaborative environment.
Drive the analysis of R&D IT Pulse results in collaboration with Operations Managers. Identify areas for improvement and develop welldefined action plans to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement. Establish and monitor KPIs to measure optimization efficiencies.
Develop and monitor the R&D IT Scorecard & Roadmap to align operational excellence priorities with AZ and Global IT priorities. Maintain a high degree of understanding and awareness of new strategic and business/IT planning trends and developments. Provide robust and succinct information to senior leaders.
Work in collaboration with IT teams to develop R&D IT and R&D Change and Communication Strategies and plans as well as OSP Onboarding/optimization. Ensure that all actions are datadriven and solutionsoriented.
Drive highquality and ensure management control through the development/monitoring of KPIs effective issues management and support resource planning (people and systems).
Change Management & Communications:
Develop and oversee the of the Change and Communications Events Plan and Training Plan ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and strategic goals.
Lead and manage the coordination of highimpact global and local events such as IT Showcases Podcasts Webinars Lunch & Learns and presentations for the business ensuring these events drive engagement and knowledge sharing.
Create and maintain consistent highquality content across enduser portals (SharePoint MS Teams Workplace). Ensure that all digital content supports the strategic objectives of R&D IT and enhances user experience.
Oversee the availability and accessibility of critical content for R&D IT including onboarding training materials videos and podcasts. Ensure that this content is easily accessible on R&D IT channels and meets the needs of the organization.
Develop and implement a forwardlooking learning strategy focused on AI and technology. Together with GenAI leadsunderstand stakeholder needs and coordinate with appropriate AZ groups to deliver targeted training that supports the strategic goals of R&D IT.
Essential Skills/Experience
Bachelors Degree or above
57 years of applicable experience
Exposure to technology implementations project management change management
Sound knowledge of process optimization LEAN ways of working Change Management and Communications
Excellent written presentation and verbal skills with the ability to build excellent relationships with stakeholders (including crossculturally). Ability to translate complex information and data into impactful content. Confident creating engaging designs in PPT or other suitable tools.
Ability to influence and shape Global solutions/processes.
Desirable Skills/Experience

Confidence in building strong relationships with colleagues across the business
Independence and ability to lead and manage a diverse cross functional team.
