Responsibilities
Provides psychological evaluation and psychotherapeutic services to medical patients and when appropriate significant others. Consults with physicians and nurses and makes recommendations for appropriate services. Functions as a clinical resource to members of multidisciplinary treatment teams. May provide recommendations for program development around issues of health psychology. May supervise doctoral and postdoctoral trainees in psychology. Patients may include adolescents adult and geriatric populations.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
1. Doctoral degree with primary study in Clinical Psychology.
2. Licensed as a psychologist
3. Completion of one 1 year supervised clinical internship.
4. Must be CPR certified.
PREFERRED:
1. Experience working with Chronic Mental Illnesses.
2. One 1 year experience in a medical setting evaluating and treating patients for psychological factors associated with medical problems.
