Job Description
POSITION: Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing InstructorJOB DESCRIPTION: Instructor of Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing with responsibility for developing coordinating delivering and supervising technical and related theory learning experiences for students pursuing a career in automotive collision repair and refinishing. Instruction will be in accordance with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Educations Vocational Technical Education Framework for Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing. Additional responsibilities as needed including but not limited to updating curriculum. Classes are to be taught to grades 912 in a regional vocational school with sixteen technical programs.QUALIFICATIONS:1. High school diploma or equivalent2. At least five years of fulltime employment experience directly related to automotive collision repair and refinishing. (Note: an associates degree may substitute for one of the five years of required employment experience and a bachelors degree may substitute for two of the five years provided that the degree includes subject matter directly related to collision repair and refinishing and/or in vocational education.3. Possession of a current Automotive Services Excellence (ASE) certification in at least two areas of automotive collision repair and refinishing (one of the areas must be painting/refinishing)4. Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral5. Competency in computer applications such as Google or Microsoft operating systems 6. Candidate must be willing to pursue licensure according to the requirements of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) within a prescribed time period OR possess a valid and appropriate DESE license7. Possession of a current national welding certification and at least five years fulltime employment experience directly related to welding (preferred but not required) SALARY: The salary will be in accordance with the provisions of the approved Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School salary schedule.EFFECTIVE DATE OF POSITION:School Year (August 25 2025
