The Global Studies program seeks an energetic graduate or undergraduate student to assist with grading and student advising in this introduction course for Global Studies. This interdisciplinary course introduces students to critical global economic and cultural issues and examines globalization at a variety of scales of analysis (planetary regional national individual). The goal is to provide understanding of the main conceptual approaches to global studies and thus enhance their ability to understand and evaluate important realworld issues and problems and to introduce students to the tracks of the Global Studies program (Environments and Sustainability Development Public Health Security and Justice and Culture and Commerce).
This is an excellent opportunity for graduate or undergraduate students from any discipline to broaden their subject matter knowledge. Students in social sciences (anthropology sociology etc. or policyrelated disciplines (politics foreign affairs leadership & public policy economics etc. may find this experience particularly valuable to their career preparation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
