POSITION: Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse

HOURS: 7:302:30 for middle school and high school; 8:303:30 for elementary and intermediate
SALARY: Pursuant to WV Code 18A48a in accordance with Berkeley County Salary Schedule Pay Grade F commensurate with WV school system experience and education level daily rate of a minimum of $148.55 maximum of $218.45
EVALUATION: Performance in this position will be evaluated by the building principal/immediate supervisor and in accordance with WV State Code 18A212 WV State Board Policy 5314 and BCS Evaluation Policy for Service Personnel
JOB SUMMARY: The LPN nurse licensed by the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Licensed Practical Nurses employed to work in a public school under the supervision of a school nurse. The LPN will work with students at various schools as needed. The initial location is Spring Mills High

High School diploma or equivalent pursuant to WV Code 18A25; Licensed Practical Nurse license issued from the West Virginia State Board of Examiners for Licensed Practical Nurses that is current and valid.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stoop reach stand walk lift grasp write talk hear see use technology such as computers and multimedia equipment and use repetitive motions. While performing the duties of this job the employee may frequently lift and/or move at least 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff members.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Most commonly the educational setting is indoors with outdoor settings for recess and field trip activities. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate 2060dB). Exceptions include gymnasiums as well as vocational/technical laboratories where the noise levels may be moderate to loud 6090 dB).
