Job Description:

The Electrical Lineworker Technology Instructor is responsible for performing all aspects of instruction for assigned program to include but not limited to implementing revising and evaluating assigned program area curriculum utilizing all resources available to innovate and to change to meet evolving program and industry needs.

The Technical Instructor provides uptodate skills training and instruction to meet the learning needs of students. Instructors provide handson technical training and mentoring in small classroom and lab settings. TSTC faculty deliver approved curriculum content and assessments in an applied learning environment. Responsibilities include facilitation of activities and discussions that engage a range of learning styles with targeted guidance and mentorship to students. Faculty will also interpret and administer assessments and offer constructive feedback to support student growth and learning outcomes. A key part of the role is to integrate technology effectively to enrich the educational act as ambassadors for their programs and TSTC.

The Target Hiring Range is $90136.25 to $103656.69

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidates qualifications and experience.

Technical Instructors at TSTC benefit from a small class capacity typically ranging between 15 20 students with an average of 1520 per class. Courses are structured to include a brief lecture session followed by handson laboratory activities maximizing engagement and practical learning. While on campus instructors are expected to be available for tutoring supplementing scheduled teaching requirements and student recruiting events. At TSTC all technical courses incorporate inperson laboratory tasks. A typical day involves teaching one or two courses with instructors potentially managing 3 to 4 courses depending on student enrollment. Occasionally Technical Instructors may be tasked with additional courses reflecting fluctuating enrollment demands. The standard workday spans from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm MonFri with occasional evening or weekend commitments. Additionally opportunities exist to provide extracurricular training for industry professionals.
