Clinical Nurse Womens Sexual Health (Identified First Nations)
Brisbane Metro South Sexual Health Service is seeking an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Clinical Nurse to work within Womens Sexual Health. BMSSH provides outpatient clinics at PAH and outreach services across Metro South Health focusing on STI screening treatment HIV testing management and pre/postexposure prophylaxis. They conduct youth clinics for STI testing and nurseled hospital clinics. The team includes various healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be committed to community service especially Indigenous youth health and passionate about equitable access to services aligning with the units values.

About the Role
- The First Nations Clinical Nurse (CN) role provides advanced clinical and problemsolving skills expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of Sexual Health patients/residents/clients with complex care needs ensuring quality standards are met.
- This role works autonomously within the healthcare team structure and is pivotal in the planning managing and delivering of Sexual Health specialist nursing care with a focus on Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people (A&TSI).
- Work with other like minded health professionals including sexual health physicians a nurse unit manager clinical nurses a clinical psychologist a contact tracing support officer and administration officers.
- The role involves providing advanced clinical care leadership and education with a focus on First Nations communities managing complex sexual health cases youth outreach and health promotion.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine commitment to community service especially in Indigenous youth health and possess a strong passion for ensuring equitable access to services for all in alignment with the units values.
- Preferred working days are Tuesday to Friday with hours from 7:30am 4:00pm (Tuesday to Thursday) and 8:00am 4:30pm (Friday) to align with clinic open hours.
This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement for the position to be filled by a candidate indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. Candidates not meeting this criteria will not be considered.

Assist in clinical facilitation and nursing education to promote a learning culture by encouraging reflection and professional development, providing clinical teaching, in-service education, and assisting/supporting others to maintain portfolios/records of learning. $54.45 - $58.30 p.h.
Education
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse (RN). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervision/manager prior to the commencement of employment. The successful applicant will hold a tertiary degree qualification such as Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent). A post graduate qualification in Child Health is a requirement of this posit
