Job Description

Spa Receptionist

The Spa department is responsible for creating an atmosphere of relaxation and renewal. The spa is

located on the mezzanine level of the resort and features 14 treatment rooms a sauna steam room

and relaxing whirlpool. Featured modalities at the Spa at Ocean Place include Swedish DeepTissue

Warm Stone Reflexology and PreNatal as well as Facial peels Microdermabrasion and Waxing.

Job Summary

The Spa Receptionist is responsible for the booking and guest registration process including the

communication of Spa services in a courteous and informative manner.

Pay Range: $15.49 $16.00/hr

Essential Job Functions

  • Greeting guests in a friendly manner ensuring all guest contact is courteous informative and thorough.
  • Performs accurate scheduling and confirming of guest appointments.
  • Manages treatment bookings and updates schedules throughout the day.
  • Ensuring appointments are on time communicating delays as necessary.
  • Notifies therapists of bookings and appointments in a timely manner.
  • Accurately communicates Spa services features and amenities.
  • Processes payments obtaining proper approval and authorization.
  • Maintains a record of reservations therapist schedules and registration forms.
  • Performs opening and closing procedures according to resort standards.
  • Ensures that the presentation and Spa cleanliness always reflect resort standards.
  • Actively promotes the Spa treatments services and retail.
  • Assists with retail product inventory.
  • Maintains knowledge of Spa hotel and community events to accurately and clearly communicate information to guests and employees.
  • Performs related duties as requested by management

Education Experience and Skill Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a similar position was strongly preferred.
  • Career interest in Spa & wellness or a related industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Spa services and products required.
  • Superior customer service and interpersonal skills required.
  • Calm and courteous in demanding situations must enjoy working with people.
  • Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have basic math skills. Prior knowledge in cashiering preferred.
  • Must be able to always maintain a professional appearance.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays as necessary.

Physical Qualifications:

  • Requires the ability to bend twist and stand to perform normal job functions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
