As a member of the Strategy Communications and Stakeholder Relations team at Ontario Pension Board (OPB) the Corporate Communications Assistant (Intern) supports a range of corporate and external communications activities as part of a collaborative team of professionals. Reporting to the Director External Communications & Digital Strategy the Corporate Communications Assistant (Intern) will conduct research on emerging communications trends and best practices and contribute to the development of a social media strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of social media strategies conducting research and analysis on emerging trends and best practices
Participate in maintaining content calendars assist with creating engaging content and collateral for digital platforms aligned with brand guidelines
Contribute to writing editing and proofreading communications materials
Assist with measuring and monitoring social media performance to evaluate effectiveness recommending approaches and enhancements for audience groups
Support the Strategy Communications and Stakeholder Relations team with various projects and initiatives as assigned
Key Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of postsecondary education in communications digital media journalism or a related field
Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge experience and application of social media channels and associated best practices
Experience conducting research summarizing findings and outlining recommendations
Strong written communication skills including vocabulary and grammar to draft a range of materials and correspondence with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to effectively multitask and manage priorities adapting to competing objectives in a timesensitive manner
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to develop relationships and support internal stakeholder teams
