The candidate selected for this position will be working in the sites gage inspection department. The employees primary responsibilities will consist of calibrating equipment used to support jet engine repair and overhaul operations (torque wrenches angle blocks gage blocks bench centers torque multipliers micrometers dead weights etc.. Candidate will work in an organized and professional manner and will be required to maintain calibration records to FAA standards. Candidate will work to ensure the safety of his or her self and that of their fellow employees. Candidate will support QA investigations into cost of poor quality incidents and support troubleshooting of shop gages and tooling as needed by operations. Candidate may be required to operate and maintain specialized measurement equipment such as CMMs vertical balancers horizontal balancers optical comparators and electronic torque management systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Highschool Diploma or GED
5 years of relevant industry experience
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen permanent resident or granted refugee or asylee status)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with operation and or maintenance of Hexagon or Mitutoya CMM machines
Experience with maintenance on horizontal and/or vertical balancing machines
Experience working in a metrology labfamiliarity with calibration records and NIST traceability
Prior experience reading/interpreting mechanical blueprints
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word and Excel
This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.
