The banquet cook at New Albany Country Club assists the Banquet Chef in preparing highquality food for banquet events and functions. This is a fulltime hourly position. The ideal candidate will have experience in banquet cooking and possess a strong passion for cooking and creating delicious meals.
Compensation:
The Banquet Cook position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18 to $21 per hour paid biweekly.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook food items according to approved banquet recipes and standards
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies for the banquet event
Maintain proper sanitation cleanliness and food safety practices in the kitchen
Communicate effectively with banquet event staff to ensure timely service and consistent quality of food
Follow all banquet event orders and ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner
Monitor food levels and replenish as needed to minimize waste
Follow all country club policies and procedures including those for safety and sanitation
Assist with inventory and ordering of kitchen supplies and ingredients
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience in banquet cooking
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and multitask
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Availability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
A culinary degree or certification is a plus
