You must be fully licensed (LCSW LCPC or LMFT). You must be willing to work exclusively doing Child/Adolescent counseling and/or Substance Use Disorder counseling. This position is paid 60 of insurance payments for clients that are seen by the counselor/therapist. OMNI/Edge Counseling offers support to all staff with improving their skills and all staff members are trained in evidencedbased models in the areas of trauma depression anxiety and substance abuse. As a member of the team you will continue to expand your skills in the areas of group facilitation family therapy case conceptualization and case management. You will receive regular support and teaching from experts in the field while collaborating with fun and energetic colleagues.
The position requires someone who is passionate about working with children and adolescents or substance use/abuse populations. Clients present a range of symptoms from low to high risk. Candidates must possess the willingness and ability to work in a fastpaced environment. Job Summary - To provide mental health and/or substance use counseling and other supportive services to assigned clients.
Primary Responsibilities: - Provide counseling services to either population identified below:
- Substance Use Disorder
- Child/Adolescent including Play Therapy
- Perform comprehensive intake assessment and diagnosis.
- Meet and maintain agencys standard quality of service.
- Maintain client files with clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts and in accordance with EDGE policies and contractual agreements using a traumainformed approach.
- Prepare required reports case notes entry into appropriate billing database and other documentation on a timely basis.
- Maintain regular communication with collateral contacts such as primary care physicians psychiatrists schools other private or public agencies and referral sources.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements: - Flexibility and willingness to work evening and/or weekend hours if needed to accommodate client schedules and meet expected direct service hours
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to clients and coworkers cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Work effectively with diverse workforce and client groups.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication writing and organizational skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and use of discretion in performance of duties operating within the limits of the agencys standard practice.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Valid Drivers License and proof of insurance.
Education & Licensure Requirements: - Minimum masters degree in human services field preferably social work or counseling.
- License for independent practice in Illinois which can include but is not limited to: Licensed Clinical Psychologist LCSW LCPC or LMFT.
