Job Description
Salary/Position Classification
- $15.00 Hourly NonExempt (Eligible for overtime)
- 1020 hours per week
- 100 Remote Work Availability: No
- Hybrid Work Availability: No
Purpose of Position
This is a parttime nonbenefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Enjoy a free meal after all 3 hour shifts!
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and pan entrees cold foods and accompaniments for concepts according to recipes and reports
- Slices and weighs meats and cheeses vegetables and other ingredients
- Prepares foods to meet all meal deadlines
- Use of the following equipment: Meat slicer food processor ovens fryers food scales calculator can opener and hand blender
- Provides exceptional customer service to our guests
- Cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment according to UNDs policies and procedures
- Follows ServSafe/UND personal hygiene standards
- Take food temperatures according to a predetermined schedule document with computer handheld devices
- Records production on the service summary sheets

Minimum Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Able to work mornings/evenings/weekdays/weekends
- Able to stand on ones feet for 34 hours
- Must be able to work with the preparation and disposal of fish poultry beef lamb pork and other meat products in a professional culinary commercial kitchen
- Must be able to adhere to all safety and sanitation policies which include removal of all jewelry and piercings except for a plain wedding band while working in our facilities
- Hairnets and beard restraints are also a requirement in our food preparation areas
- Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester
