Do you excel in the field of accounting and enjoy the challenge of preparing complex financial reports If so Pennsylvanias Office of Comptroller Operations has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant within the Annual Comprehensive Financial Reporting (ACFR) unit. As a Senior Accountant in the ACFR unit you will play a key role in the preparation of several pieces of the states ACFR. You will assist with monitoring and implementing accounting standards that impact the states ACFR. Work involves calculating preparing and posting journal entries to convert the states accounting records to conform with generally accepted accounting principles as well as preparing assigned ACFR note disclosures. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other members of the Office of Comptroller Operations and other state agencies to provide guidance on and ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards. We are looking for someone who possesses an indepth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles strong Microsoft Excel skills and proven team collaboration in the planning and achievement of highquality financial reports. This professional reports to the ACFR unit manager within the Bureau of Accounting and Financial Management (BAFM).
