Job Description
A distinguished fullservice business law firm serving Northern California is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our Employment Law department. Position Overview:
- We are looking for an Associate Attorney with 2 years of litigation experience to enhance our Employment Law team in Modesto CA. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in preparing responsive pleadings engaging in motion practice and handling discovery matters. Experience in client counseling case management and preparing cases for trial is essential. Familiarity with employmentrelated laws and compliance while beneficial is not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file responsive pleadings and engage in motion practice.
- Respond to discovery requests and administrative charges.
- Counsel clients on employment law and related legal issues.
- Manage cases including propounding and responding to discovery handling depositions and trial preparation.
- Develop and implement policies and conduct compliance training as needed.
- Handle prelitigation disputes and provide strategic legal advice.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
- Strong academic record and proven track record of performance.
- Exceptional communication analytical and writing skills.
- Experience with employment law including wage and hour laws leave laws (FMLA ADA) and compliance matters is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cases effectively and provide sound legal advice.
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $145000 to $200000
- The actual salary offered will be based on the candidates qualifications and experience.
