Job Description
KCARC is seeking applicants for 1972 Lead Summer Camp Counselor. Multiple positions available. Perfect for High School or College Students. Applicants must be 18 or older. Temporary Summer Only Position.
The Lead Camp Counselor is a Spring/Summer job opportunity at KCARC 1972s Summer Camp Program. Hours Vary.
The Camp Counselor is responsible for assisting in implementing all components of the Summer Program curriculum within his/her designated age group of campers in a manner that is reflective of KCARCs mission to advocate and provide opportunities in a dignified and respectful manner for the total wellbeing of individuals and families with special needs and nondisabled children ages 5 to12 and all other duties as assigned.
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Must have a valid drivers license. Possess the ability to use tact and empathy when dealing with children/people of varied backgrounds. Possess the ability to establish effective working relationships. Possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Be able to multitask effectively in a fastpaced work environment. Maintain good hygiene. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Successful candidates will be required to perform repetitive motions including but not limited to lifting bending twisting turning and being on their feet for the majority of their shifts.
