As part of the Tax System team you will participate in development efforts across tax allocation investor K1 schedules legal entities tax returns and tax reporting.
What youll do
You will help develop technical solutions supporting Point72s tax systems and tax optimization data analytics. Specifically you will:
- Contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction of the tax technology stack
- Utilize best practices in software development including technical documentation code reviews testing and continuous integration
- Design and build new software applications and software enhancements and projects supporting tax application technology.
- Work closely with business stake holders to develop software solutions using testdriven and agile software development methodologies
- Design cloudbased computing solutions to create scalable cloud native applications
- Be responsible for system upgrades and features supporting resiliency and capacity improvements automation and controls and integration with internal and external vendors and services
- Work with DevOps teams to resolve operational issues and leverage CI/CD platforms while following DevOps practices within the team and projects
- Continuously improve the platforms using the latest technologies and software development ideas
- Develop close working relationships and collaborate with other technology teams to deliver crossdepartmental initiatives
Whats required
- 10 years of professional software development experience with a focus on Java with Scala exposure
- Strong understanding of objectoriented programming design patterns and frameworks
- Experience building applications with focus on userfriendly interface design as well as backend and database optimization
- Design and implementation experience in building systems with large data volumes and scalability
- SQL development and debugging experience with relational databases
- Experience with Node.js and building RESTful APIs
- Experience with React and Typescript technologies
- Experience with building micro services Kubernetes based platforms and AWS
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
