Job Description
Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is recruiting an exceptional Primary Care Physician (PCP) to join its team. We are seeking an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained physician to join us in pursuit of highquality patient care. Ideal candidates are those who have deep expertise in primary care focus on patient experience and strive for valuebased clinical decision making. This is a fulltime outpatient/ambulatory Adult Primary Care position.
Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is a 220bed teaching hospital located in a residential neighborhood directly on the border of northern Brooklyn and Western Queens. We serve a variety of cultural and ethnic communities. We are committed to quality and compassion in addressing the healthcare needs of urban neighborhoods.
The Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician will provide primary care services (annual physicals chronic disease management urgent care/ sick visits) at one of our practices in Brooklyn.
Responsibilities:
- Review patients history and perform physical examinations. Evaluate diagnose and provide appropriate treatment and patient care. Refer patient to specialist as needed.
- Provide quality clinical diagnostic skills in the delivery of patient care. Review all test results and recommend suitable management for the patient including but not limited to preventive health recommendations and habits.
- Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.
- Provide relationshipcentered care considering the patients psychosocial and physical needs.
- Collect and record patient information such as medical histories reports and examination results. Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
- Communicate effectively with the clinical team to insure total delivery of quality care.
- Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or foreign equivalent
- Completion of three year post graduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Seeking both experienced and newly trained providers
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine
- Must possess a current unrestricted New York State license.
- Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.
- Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
- BLS or ACLS required.
- Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written.
- Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office
- Clinical proficiency in evidencebased primary care
Schedule is MondayFriday with minimal on call rotation by phone only. Attractive compensation package includes RVU Quality and Patient Satisfaction bonuses relocation allowance sign on bonus loan repayment and more. Must be board certified new grads welcome to apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Three 3 years of experience working with a community clinic is highly desirable.
- Established leadership skills.
We offer an attractive salary paid malpractice generous paid time off program CME days plus allowance retirement benefits and a competitive benefit package. Schedule is Monday Friday with minimal on call rotation by phone only. Compensation ranges from $220K to $260K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits). Eligibility for loan forgiveness. Visa candidates are considered. New grads are welcome to apply.
