Job Description
Service Technician Owings Mills Area
WPM is seeking a skilled and reliable service technician to join our team and support a portfolio of properties in the Owings Mills & Pikesville area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for responding to maintenance requests performing preventative maintenance as directed and preparing units for movein. Successful candidates will excel both independently and as part of a team. Excellent customer service skills are essential and prior experience in residential maintenance is preferred. HVAC certification or significant related experience is highly desirable.
Hourly Rate: Starting at $22.00 (based on experience) plus a phone allowance
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:30 AM 5:00 PM (Oncall availability and snow removal required)
Property Locations: Bright Meadows Pleasant Ridge Greenbriar and Allyson Garden I & II
Responsibilities:
As a Service Technician at WPM you will:
- Respond to maintenance repair requests promptly and efficiently
- Perform HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance
- Hang prep and sand drywall
- Conduct electrical repairs
- Maintain and repair appliances
- Handle basic plumbing tasks
- Paint common areas and apartment units as needed
- Ensure the property grounds remain clean organized and safe
- Assist with snow removal
- Participate in a rotating oncall schedule for emergency maintenance coverage during evenings weekends and holidays
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of plumbing electrical and carpentry skills required
- HVAC certification or extensive experience strongly preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to troubleshoot minor electrical issues across various fixtures and equipment
- Comfortable working on ladders and lifting up to 85 lbs
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 35 years of experience in residential maintenance preferred
