The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology GSAPP at Rutgers The State University of New Jersey seeks to hire a PostDoctoral Research Associate. The Associate will work with Dr. Erum Nadeem primarily on project designed to implement and evaluate traumainformed multitiered systems of support for schools. There will also be opportunities to engage in other projects focused on traumainformed culturally responsive practices in schools and the delivery of schoolbased mental health more broadly. This position can begin at the candidates earliest availability with salary and benefits commensurate with Rutgers University guidelines. The successful candidate will be part of the research and evaluation core on a multiyear project funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. This is a large collaborative partnership grant designed to implement and evaluate a traumainformed multitiered systems of support in a large urban school district. The program involves a districtwide effort to train and coach teachers in traumainformed culturally responsive classroom practices revise disciplinary practices implement screening and referral services and to provide traumafocused to students. The project also involves partnerships with community mental health agencies police and fire departments the public library system and families among others. The postdoctoral fellows primary role will be to support the evaluation of implementation outcomes program outcomes and partnership processes. There will also be opportunities to engage in other research projects focused on schoolbased mental health educational and mental health equity and access to care more broadly. Additional responsibilities include collaborative grantwriting writing scholarly publications participation in professional conferences and mentorship of research assistants.
