What You Will Do:

• The Quality and Process Engineering (Q&PE) organization is looking for a Discipline Chief who will work with our internal NDT team to mentor and provide technical leadership develop and implement training define our progression map and support individual team members IDP.
• The NDT discipline chief supports product and process excellence standard work development and improvement identify and drive necessary changes NDT projects RCCA and escape management and representing NDT as our subject matter expert in respective discipline meetings.
• The selected candidate will work closely with NDT leadership including our NDT fellow to drive technical knowledge and process improvements across our team and business.
• Additional responsibilities includeL3 Xray method ownerand method owner succession planning as well as supportinginternal P&W business unitssuppliers and partners to develop and continuously improve Xray NDT systems.
• As a member of the Q&PE NDT team you will perform Xray NDT audits and certifications provide technical guidance inspection system oversite and drive processimprovements.Specific NDTL3proficienciesbeing consideredare Xray specifically film digital and computer radiography.
• As a method owner you will be the teams subject matter expert in the Xray method responsible for technical decision making training the current Level 3 team and owning the xray method health across Pratt & Whitney and our supply base.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years NDTexperience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
• Currently hold Level 3 certifications in NDT.
• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with training personneltestingand auditing NDT systems.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge and experience with root cause and process control tools.
• Experience withSAPand Microsoft suite.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 124000 USD 250000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
