Job Description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing trim and joint activities within the processing department during assigned shifts. Supports and adheres to the companys Standards of Conduct & Discipline.

The pay for this role is $2225/hr DOE. This is a full time position.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties/responsibilities of this job.

  1. Supervises department crew members:
    1. Delegates daily and weekly tasks
    2. Tracks attendance/breaks
    3. Tracks production rates
    4. Coaching and training
  2. Creates and maintains order tracking sheets from portal.
  3. Ensures accurate inventory is kept of all product.
  4. Ensures department leads properly delegate tasks coaching guiding and holding crew members to company standards.
  5. Regularly checks emails basecamps telegrams and portal to stay on top of announcements order changes and updates.
  6. Evaluate production data to identify high and low performers. Work with department leads to coach low performers to reach goals.
  7. Attend lead and supervisor meetings.
  8. Ensure that machinery and equipment are being used correctly cleaned and well maintained.
  9. Send daily end of shift reports via basecamp. Work together with other supervisors and department leads pass down instructions and guidance to next shift clearly and concisely.
  10. Communicate personnel notes and partners with management including; recommending performance/disciplinary action schedule changes and/or position changes.
  11. Conduct employee performance reviews for leads and crew members.
  12. Partners with management to delegate labor needs delegate extra help or request backup.
  13. Request supplies for replenishment.
  14. Supports and adheres to the companys Standards of Conduct & Discipline..
  15. Assists with Research & Development projects as assigned.
  16. Maintains a clean and organized workspace and hold crew members accountable for their cleanliness.
  17. Assists other departments as necessary or assigned.
Job Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required to perform this job.

  • Must be 21 years old or older.

Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully an individual must have:

  • a High School Diploma or a General Education Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Word and Excel.
  • One 1 year experience in processing or managing a production facility.

Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to:

  • Regularly sit or stand for long periods of time doing repetitive tasks with hands pull/push carry up to 10 pounds and grasp.
  • Frequently walk reach talk and hear.
  • Occasionally climb stoop/crouch crawl carry up to 25 pounds taste or smell.
  • Clearly see 20 feet with or without corrective lenses and differentiate between colors (no color blindness)
