APP Critical Access/Rural Health Fort Benton MT (experienced required)
Benefis Missouri River Medical Center in beautiful historic Fort Benton Montana has an opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dedicated team. We offer competitive compensation great benefits and an adventurous Montana lifestyle!
Our campus encompasses a 25bed critical access hospital a family practice clinic an intermediate care and emergency room eye clinic physical therapy fullservice laboratory and radiology with stateoftheart technology as well as home visiting nurse services and partnership with Peace Hospice of Montana. Our critical access hospital is dedicated to the highest level of independence and quality of life for those that make Benefis Missouri River Medical Center their home.
Schedule Compensation and Benefits:
- Full time employed position
- Providers work in a family practice clinic and share call in partnership with 1 MD and 3 APCs
- 4 days in clinic per week
- 1 night ER call per week
- 1 ER call weekend per month
- Average of 2.3 ER calls per day
- Family Practice clinic experience preferred ER experience required
- ACLS and ATLS evidence of training is required with certification preferred
- Transfers available to our large tertiary center in Great Falls Montana (Benefis Health System)
- Approximately 50 minutes by car/ambulance 42 miles)
- Great Falls has a fixed wing and rotor wing for urgent/emergent patient transfers
- Direct provider call in line to 24/7 emergency operator
- Available specialties include Urology Orthopedics OB/GYN Neurosurgery Cardiothoracic SurgeryInterventional CardiologyENT Plastics Pulmonology Neurology Gastroenterology and a regional cancer institute
Schedule Compensation and Benefits:

Fort Benton is situated on the banks of the Missouri River with a population of just under 1500 and is proud to be the oldest continuously occupied settlement in Montana often referred to as The Birthplace of Montana. The welcoming community offers two of the best museums in the west a beautiful historic hotel with a delicious gourmet restaurant additional restaurants and shopping along the river a golf course and a large variety of outdoor activities including camping fishing hiking kayaking canoeing summer festivals and more.
