Job Description Summary:

The Associate Program Manager supports the assigned Program Manager in of the assigned programs. Works under the guidance of a lead program manager who carries the responsibility of the project and future program development. Provides support to cost and schedule controls and assists in tracking technical and programmatic . In some cases may take on the authority of managing specific portions of a program such as a subcontract but in all cases reportsThe Associate Program Manager supports various Program Managers in the of their assigned programs including but not limited to U.S. government information systems battlespace awareness and applied AI/ML technologies within the Decision Solutions portfolio. This role requires expertise in Agile software development federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and government contract management ensuring successful program and compliance with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and federal standards. Works under the guidance of lead program managers and business area leads who carry the responsibility of the project and future program/opportunity development. Provides support to cost and schedule controls assists in tracking technical and programmatic as well as opportunity development and tracking. In some cases may take on the authority of managing specific portions of a program such as a subcontracts but in all cases reports functionally to the assigned Program Manager. functionally to the assigned Program Manager.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities
Assists in the development of project documentation to include but not limited to program plans schedules statements of work risk tracking purchase requisitions.
Performs data entry and management using prescribed business tools.
Works with the technical team to implement and update Program Plans and Integrated Master Schedule.
Maintains actions and problem tracking systems
Ability to apply basic administrative principles.
Ability to learn new principles and learn Drapers business tools.
Works under the supervision of the Associate Director for Portfolio and the assigned program manager.
Regularly interacts with project team staff.
Effectively conveys work results to the project team and supervisors in oral and written form; clearly communicates with management and peers on routine matters.

Skills/Abilities
Ability to apply basic program management knowledge skills tools and techniques to project/program activities to meet the successful delivery and of of assigned programs.
Ability to organize programmatic information for effective planning project monitoring and control and decision making
Ability to integrate team member inputs into reports and presentations for and as directed by the program manager.
Strong written and oral communication skills.

Education
Bachelors degree in a relevant Engineering Technical or Business field of study

Experience
35 years of professional experience in program management.

  • Agile Expertise: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum Kanban and SAFe frameworks.
  • Government Contract Management: Oversee programs structured under various contract types including Fixed Price (FFP) Cost Plus (CPFF CPIF) and Time & Materials (T&M) ensuring compliance and costeffectiveness.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure program operations align with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders ensuring program goals are met within scope schedule and budget.
  • Risk & Performance Management: Identify program risks implement mitigation strategies and ensure contract deliverables meet performance requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Direct crossfunctional teams including engineers analysts and acquisition professionals to execute missioncritical initiatives.
