Parttime adjunct faculty pool in History to fill opportunities on a coursebycourse basis as need arises.JOB DESCRIPTION
The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is regularly seeking parttime adjunct faculty to teachHistory (HI) courses.Historyfaculty teach introductory coursesintermediate thematic surveys andadvancedtopic seminars.WPIsHistory program hasparticular strengthsin American European East Asian Latin American and globalhistories;the histories of science and technology;urban and environmental histories;imperial and postcolonial histories;andrace gender and social movements.
We are looking for outstanding scholars but successful candidates mustalsodemonstrate teaching excellence and versatility as well as an abilityto jumpintoanexisting curriculum with creative and critical pedagogical approaches.Asuccessful candidate should hold a PhD in History.
