Job Description

Position: Health Plan Policy Analyst (DEERS)

Knowesis is seeking a Health Plan Policy Analyst who will play a critical role in supporting the TRICARE Health Plans Defense Enrollment and Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS). This position involves analyzing developing and implementing health policy initiatives to ensure the effective administration of TRICARE benefits. The analyst will work closely with various stakeholders including military personnel healthcare providers and policy makers to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of DEERS operations.

To be eligible for this position candidates must possess U.S. Citizenship without the need for sponsorship both now and in the future. Applicants without proof of U.S. Citizenship will not be considered due to the positions security clearance requirements.

The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Data and Process Analysis: Under government oversight analyze and evaluate data plans functional requirements and business processes to ensure the successful integration implementation transition and maintenance of purchased care contractor systems contract requirements and business processes.
  • Functional Requirements Development: Collaborate with government oversight to develop functional requirements for systems and communication interfaces ensuring compliance with contractual and legislative mandates.
  • Project Management Support: Provide project management support for sustainment activities contract transitions new projects and project closeout processes.
  • Status Reporting: Create and maintain project status presentations for project managers to brief higher management and other government offices.
  • Conflict Resolution: Participate in project discussions identify potential contractual conflicts within TRICARE purchased care contracts and recommend solutions to resolve these conflicts.
  • Policy and Program Recommendations: Identify and draft recommendations for manual changes to accommodate updates to TRICARE policy programs security and privacy requirements.
  • Work Group Support: Support DEERS Work Group activities including scheduling and attending meetings drafting minutes preparing meeting agendas and distributing documents to workgroup members.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in health policy analysis preferably within a government or military setting.
  • Indepth understanding of TRICARE policies DEERS operations and federal health regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills excellent written and verbal communication abilities and proficiency in data analysis tools and software.

Required Education:

  • Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration Business Administration or relevant discipline
