Job Description

Shift: Monday Friday 8:00pm 5:00am

Pay Details:

  • The expected rate of pay for this position is $23.00 $24.00 hourly.
  • $2000 Signing Bonus

As a Transfer Truck Driver at Crescent Electric you will be responsible for the timely and accurate overnight delivery and/or pickup of goods between company locations. In this position you will safely operate the vehicle and loading/unloading trucks in an efficient manner.Additionally you will work off shift hours.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Drive company trucks making prompt onschedule deliveries and pickups while notifying management of any delays in the delivery schedule.
  • Serve as a backup driver to cover routes as needed.
  • Establish familiarity with delivery routes and delivery location preferences.
  • Load and unload trucks in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of staff.
  • Maintain vehicle properly and perform daily pre and post trip inspections. Record damage to vehicles product and/or equipment.
  • Report and observe problems and opportunities.
  • Identify deficiencies and/or areas of improvement in the delivery process and communicate them to management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 6 months of product delivery experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to and comfort with working at heights of up to 28 ft. using powered equipment.
  • Often standing walking bending reaching and stooping. Occasional sitting talking/hearing. The use of hands/fingers are often needed.
  • Continuous lifting and carrying of 120 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of 2150 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of 51100 lbs. with the assistance of a buddylift or a mechanical device.
  • Vision requirements for driving equipment and company vehicles include:
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
  • Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).
  • Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point).
  • Depth perception (threedimensional vision ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
