Job Description

The opportunity:

Kinetic is now looking for a Dispatch Controller to join our team in Mackay. The Dispatch Controller role is responsible for coordinating daily operations at the depot to ensure optimal performance of bus services. This role involves managing schedules responding to lastminute changes and maintaining high standards of customer service and safety. Success in this role requires excellent focus organization and the ability to provide effective guidance to depot driving staff.

4 days on 4 days off roster.

4 weeks am 3.34am1.45pm) 4 weeks pm 2.30pm12.30am)

Youll be involved in:

  • Coordinate bus and employee movements in collaboration with the Operations Control Centre to meet network KPIs.
  • Facilitate and report daily on depot run outs addressing issues such as mechanical problems or driver absences.
  • Ensure consistent coverage of scheduled requirements including planning for leave and training.
  • Audit and ensure compliance with National Fatigue guidelines and Enterprise Agreements for all driver work allocations.
  • Monitor and manage accurate payment for all driving staff addressing pay queries and minimizing under/over payments.
  • Support network and OCC teams by implementing plans for schedule variations and responding to network disruptions.

The boxes youll tick:

  • Recent graduate in logistics or related discipline
  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office and reporting software.
  • Selfmotivated with a positive approach to a constantly changing work environment.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills for clear instructions and communications.
  • Minimum medium rigid drivers license and relevant authority plus a working with children check (or willingness to attain).
