DEPARTMENT: Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
WORK HOURS: Full Time; 40 Hours; Monday Friday 7:00 am 5:30 pm; No call
DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS:
Our electrophysiology(EP)lab unit is currently looking for a Cardiovascular Special Procedures Technologist. Busy procedural area servicing community and hospital patients. Procedures performed are cardiac implants and EP studies/ablations. Electrophysiology(EP)lab also offers: 4 10 hr rotating shifts. No weekends or holidays
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology required.
1year radiologic technician experience w/out ARRT CT required or
No experience w/ ARRT CT
ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required or
RCIS Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist upon required or
RCES Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist upon hire or
CMRT Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT upon hire and
BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
Imaging Quality and Processing:
Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam.
Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
