Job Description
Bachelors degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Geomatics Geography Environmental Science Computer Science or Engineering.
Certifications in GIS (e.g. Esri ArcGIS Certification GISP Geographic Information Systems Professional) are an advantage.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in GIS software:
o ArcGIS (Esri)
o QGIS (Opensource alternative)
o Google Earth Pro
Spatial data analysis & visualization
GPS and remote sensing technologies
Database management (SQL PostgreSQL with PostGIS Oracle Spatial)
Programming for GIS automation (Python R JavaScript with Leaflet or Mapbox)
Telecomspecific GIS applications:
o Network planning tools like Atoll Planet or NetAct
o Fiber network mapping & RF coverage analysis
o Site selection & infrastructure planning
Industry Knowledge (TelecomSpecific)
Understanding of RF planning and optimization
Fiber optics and network deployment mapping
Site acquisition and feasibility analysis
Telecom regulations and geographic compliance
