Job Summary
As a Server Test Engineer you will relentlessly pursue the rootcause of defects prioritize and categorize quality issues based on what will have the most impact on the user experience and advocate for the user in discussions with development peers and Product Management this role youll test and report on system stability and performance and roll up your sleeves to solve technical challenges.
Responsibilities
Functional and regression testing of MariaDB server and components
Exploratory testing and communication with developers and product management in order to obtain details of feature specification
Writing test cases and automating test scenarios for regression testing purposes
Test result analysis creation of reproducible test cases defect reporting
Collaboration with development at maintaining the official regression test suite
Qualifications
2 years of work experience in software testing
Good knowledge of Linux handson experience with everyday maintenance/administration
Ability to perform work tasks on Windows MacOS
Understanding and experience with MariaDB Server or other RDBMSs
Good knowledge of SQL familiarity with NoSQL concepts
Work experience with version control and defect tracking systems
Familiarity with scripting languages
Good written and spoken communication skills in English
