Job Summary:
Embedded Firmware Engineer is a key member of the R&D team responsible for designing and developing system firmware for data collection instrumentation used to measure water velocity and flow. From concept to design and implementation for new product development projects as well as support and maintenance of existing instrument firmware calibration software and functional testing are all part of this exciting opportunity.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
System firmware development analysis design implementation for new product development.
Develop drivers and support code for embedded microcontroller including UART/SPI/ADC/USB/etc.
Develop code algorithms for data modeling sensors and signal processing.
Design and validate experiments used to test instrumentation subsystems and integrated systems.
Automated testing and field testing pertaining to instrumentation development.
Support and sustaining of existing instrument firmware
Develop calibration software and processes to transition new instruments from prototype to production.
Manage tasks and timelines with good time management
Provide Technical Support related to firmware as needed
Maintain and complete Documentation and records per R&D processes
Job postings will include a wide salary range with each roles pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills experience location and market conditions.

Qualifications:
A bachelors degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years embedded firmware experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories principles and concepts.
Strong development experience with sensors and measurement devices. Development of water measurement instrumentation is a strong plus.
Excellent ASM/C/C language skills and understanding
Proven track of project completions in a team environment.
Experience with ARM SoC HAL and BSP development
Experience in complete product/system development
Good math and/or physics understanding
Strong critical thinking analytical and problem solving skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and simulation software.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills experience and work location and is not typically at the top of the range.
