Job Description
Looking for a hardware and firmware engineer to look after the design development and testing of portable handheld devices lab grade benchtop devices and field deployable transmitters. You will be responsible for testing documentation and leading a team of highly motivated people.
Roles and Responsibilities
Our client Founded in 1948 is a leader in industrial instrumentation and process control solutions renowned for quality precision and reliability. They serve various industries including pharmaceuticals environmental monitoring manufacturing research and development agriculture power generation and mining. Their products are used by various organizations from small businesses to large multinational corporations both in India and globally. In Analytical electrochemistry lab instruments they provide gas analyzers liquid analyzers spectrophotometers and pH meters. Their process control instruments include flow meters pressure transmitters and temperature sensors and transmitters. For environmental monitoring they offer air quality monitors and water quality monitors. The companys weighing and dosing systems feature industrial scales and dosing pumps while their data acquisition and logging systems include data loggers and remote monitoring systems. They also manufacture calibration and testing equipment as well as data acquisition and logging systems. The focus is on scaling the sales of Analytical Instruments Laboratory & Industrial Electrodes Sensors and Online Water Analyzers and Instruments.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Planning developing and implementing hardware and firmware standards
- Gathering and analyzing the requirements of customers
- Understanding of black box testing
- Knowledge of preproduction and production challenges
- Bachelor or Master Engineering Degree in the field of Electronics/Instrumentation
- Experience of firmware coding for 16bit/ARM microcontrollers
- Experience of designing ultralow power voltage/current/power measurement
- Experience in the development of power supplies (hardware).
- Familiarity in the development of PCBs and other tools.
- Design and development of PCB layouts using CAD software design rule checks and signal integrity analysis
- Creation of Schematics BOMs Gerber files and assembly files for manufacturing.
- Understanding of crossfunctional requirements of instrumentation development (hardware and firmware)
- Experience or understanding of RealTime Operating Systems for microcontrollers
- Experience in the development of multilayer PCB development
