The Division of Neuroradiology in the Radiology Department at UHealth University of Miami Health System and Leonard Miller School of Medicine is seeking a fellowshiptrained candidate for a fulltime faculty position at the level of Assistant Associate or Professor in the clinical educator track Staff Physician. The University offers a competitive salary relative to academia for this shift position which is enhanced by an attractive benefits package.
Responsibilities of the candidate include providing interpretations of plain film CT and MR studies. This includes a combination of remote and onsite coverage.
The Evening position is based on a 3 week block schedule. The first week involves coverage from 29 pm MonFri and 19 pm on Sat/Sun. The 2nd week is off followed by a 3rd week which involves a 3 day coverage during the week.
The successful applicant will join 11 fellowship trained CAQed neuroradiologists interpreting images from multiple facilities including Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics (including its satellites). The latter includes an acute care inpatient facility UHealth Tower. In addition plans are underway to further expand the University of Miami footprint in South Florida in the form of additional clinics and ambulatory centers.
The Division of Neuroradiology trains many radiology residents and medical students and offers a oneyear neuroradiology fellowship 6 fellows per year). There are also various research opportunities with a dedicated research magnet available. Responsibilities include providing clinical care/consultation teaching of trainees service and potential involvement in research.
The potential candidate must have completed their radiology training and have passed the ABR core exam (or ABRcertified) be eligible for a Florida unrestricted medical license and should have completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology being eligible for (or CAQ in) Neuroradiology.
