Vast is looking for a Senior Propulsion Technician Haven reporting to the Director of Haven Propulsion to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificialgravity humanrated space stations and the Haven Demo Satellite. This will be a fulltime nonexempt position located at our Long Beach location.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain facility including Ground Support Equipment (GSE) propellant high pressure and cryogenic systems
- Work alongside engineers to build test and maintain fluid systems
- Work on test pad to perform cold flows hot fire testing and other hazardous operations
- Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on fluid system mechanical and electrical systems
- Work with engineers to build and maintain rocket engines and other test articles
- Ability to conduct test operations in the field for extended period of time
- Ability to operate or learn to operate heavy machinery (Forklift Allterrain Forklift overhead equipment etc.
- Implement continuous improvements to increase safety and test site productivity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 3 years of experience working in a production mechanical or manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Read & Understand Plumbing and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Experience building and testing high pressure fluid/gas systems.
- Tube fitting & bending familiar with common industry fittings systems.
- Mechanical experience preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends to support critical mission milestones.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
- Travel to Mojave for up to 10 as needed.
Pay Range:
- Senior Technician: $4050/hr
Salary Range: California
$40 $50 USD

The person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls and therefore must either be a U.S. person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
