Job Description
Job Summary:
AbaCares Services seeks a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker (DCW)to join our team. This is a fulltime individual contributor role in the homecare field. As a DCW you will provide care and support to individuals with physical or mental disabilities or other medical conditions. You will play a vital role in helping our clients maintain their independence and improve their overall quality of life.
Approved Hours: 42.21 hours weekly
Location: RICHLAND PA 17087

Responsibilities:
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing dressing and grooming
Provide medication reminders and assistance with medication management
Accompany clients on errands appointments and social outings
Help clients with light housekeeping and meal preparation
Monitor clients physical and mental health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of client care
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families
Adhere to all company policies procedures and standards of care
Attend training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a healthcare or Caregiving role preferred
Must have a reliable transportation
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate and patient demeanor
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
