Job Description
IMC is looking for a highly skilled software engineer to join our Chicago team. In this role you will be responsible for designing developing and optimizing software solutions that meet the hardwarespecific demands of our global trading infrastructure. Working within a fastpaced dynamic tech environment youll collaborate closely with global teams leveraging rapid feedback loops to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in writing lowlevel highperformance C code and a proven track record of working effectively alongside hardware teams to create tightly integrated efficient solutions.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Work closely with hardware engineers and crossfunctional teams to understand requirements and implement effective solutions
- Write highlyperformant software solutions to control and interface with hardware components
- Optimize components of our system to achieve lowlatency and highthroughput capabilities
- Ensure a seamless integration of new applications and enhancements to the existing trading infrastructure
Your Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related field of study
- 5 years of professional experience using modern C in a lowlatency environment
- Experience with software development for hardware platforms
- Knowledge of trading systems and financial markets is a strong plus
- Excellent problemsolving and communication skills
The Base Salary range for the role is included below.
