Job Description
Job Title:Adult Social Worker Learning Disabilities
Location:Swindon Council
Rate:34 per hour
Job Description:
This role requires a dynamic worker with sound knowledge and understanding of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005 and a minimum of two years postqualified experience and will hold a number of complex cases. The worker will be required to manage a caseload in addition to supporting duty functions. The team are based in the office 2 days a week but may also need to complete duty visits and assessments at short notice. The suitable candidate must be a car driver. Experience of Adult Safeguarding and multidisciplinary working is also essential to the role and evidence of this would be preferred.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Social Work or related field
- Registration with the relevant professional body
- Experience in adult social care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals
