Detroit Recovery Project Inc. (DRP) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that provides outpatient recovery support services for those with substance use and cooccurring mental health disorders. We treat the whole person through our integrated programs of primary medical and behavioral healthcare.

What were looking for:
DRP is currently seeking a fulltime and a parttime Outreach Driver for the Prevention Team. The Outreach Driver will be responsible for driving the Mobile Outreach Units 12passenger van and accompanying the Team to various locations. This service includes professional interactions distribution of basic supplies communicating with service providers and the community and offering support to the participants/employees of DRP. Outreach Drivers for the mobile unit are expected to also assist with Harm Reduction supply distribution and rapid HIV/HCV testing.
Compensation:The pay for this position is $20/hr. and is based on nondiscriminatory factors such as skills and experience. This is a hourly nonexempt role that is eligible for overtime compensation.
The Ideal candidate will:
- Be available to work either a Tuesday 9am7pm Wednesday12pm7pm Thursday 1pm7pm Friday 9am5pm or a Tuesday9am6:45pm Wednesday 12pm6:45pm Friday 9am5pm schedule.
- Have a Michigan State HIV Tester Certification
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess a valid/Current Chauffeurs License and satisfactory drivers record
- Minimum two 2 years of relevant experience
- Be able to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented
- Be organized detailoriented selfmotivated and able to multitask
- Ensure the vehicle is driven in a safe manner to transport clients seeking shelter services
- Adhere to policies and procedures of the program with documentation and statistics kept and entered in a timely manner
- Clean and Maintain vehicles
- Provide HIV/HCV testing and other services when needed
- Ensure all safety practices are maintained
- Maintain accurate mileage and maintenance logs for vehicle
- Assists with set up and cleanup of the Mobile Outreach Unit as part of the Mobile Outreach Team
