Job Description
- Copy edits proof and prepare titles for publication all the way up to production and plotters
- Liaising with commissioning editors authors and other stakeholders
- Marking copy with standard proofreading marks to notify authors and editors of necessary changes
- Ability to rephrase rewrite portions of text for better readability
- Checking facts and statistics to ensure the accuracy of the text
- Knowledge of referencing of footnotes and endnotes
- An eye for standardization and consistency of house style throughout the book and across all titles.
