This position requires a highly motivated individual to lead the Power & Controls Electric Power Systems (EPS) service engineering team 1215 individuals) in technical support of our fielded products and systems. Candidate must drive the team to develop effective technical support solutions with strong ability to communicate at all levels (executive to technician) both internally and externally. This senior service engineering leader acts as a Voice of the Aftermarket Customer for promoting positive change to our products and processes at all stages of the lifecycle.
The service engineering department is responsible for technical support of fielded products and systems identifying and escalating emerging product issues to the business ensuring maintenance documentation is technically accurate and providing customer training on our systems and products. This is a key role for both P&C Engineering and P&C Aftermarket interfacing crossfunctionally and globally with a collaborative team to support our airline MRO engine OEM and airframe customers.
What You Will Do
- Provide technical process and strategic leadership for service team
- Hiring and developing employees within the organization.
- Actively build relationships with team members and collaborators
- Prioritizing work to ensure critical needs are addressed
- Driving field failure investigations
- Communicate technical information to EPS leadership and customers on field issues
- Monitoring and improving performance on customer responses
- Support P&C Service Engineering process development and continuous improvement
- Planning and tracking of the annual departmental budget
- Data gathering (field reliability operator use and maintenance) analysis coordinating special investigations customer training product testing strong customer and Collins field service interface and corrective action implementation.
- Travel up to 1020
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree 14 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizensare authorized to access information under thisprogram/contract
Qualifications We Prefer
- Aftermarket experience
- Customer interface or customer service experience
- Prior leadership experience
- Knowledge of Electric Power Systems products
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Aerospace Aviation Electrical or Systems Engineering

The salary range for this role is 124000 USD 250000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
