Job Description
Quality Engineer
Coon Rapids MN Contract toHire $3348/hr
Konik is Partnering with a local manufacturer that is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to add to their team. We are looking for a handson Quality Engineer to oversee and enhance the quality management system in compliance with ISO 9001 standards. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality tracking supplier performance managing nonconformance issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee incoming material inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Track and report supplier and internal quality performance metrics identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage and resolve nonconformance issues implementing corrective actions in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering.
- Maintain and calibrate measurement equipment and tools ensuring proper documentation.
- Oversee and enhance the ISO 9001 quality management system serving as the ISO representative
- Facilitate customer returns and collaborate with teams to analyze failure modes and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with Purchasing Operations and Engineering to drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain document control related to the ISO management system corrective actions procedures and training records.
- Lead annual quality registration activities to maintain compliance certifications.
- Provide leadership training and guidance for quality team members.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Quality Engineer Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485 standards.
- Proficiency in CMM programming and operations.
- Ability to use surface plates and handmeasuring tools for physical inspections.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with ROHS/REACH/PFAS compliance requirements.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Manager in a manufacturing or related field.
